Melissa Oppenheimer is the divisional vice president for Global Exchange, managing World Learning’s administration of a large portfolio of exchange and education programs. These include U.S. Department of State-funded exchange and capacity-building programs, as well as development projects for the U.S. Agency for International Development. Oppenheimer also plays a key role in World Learning’s new business development. Earlier in her career, she was a Presidential Management Fellow (PMF) and budget policy and evaluation analyst at the U.S. Department of Education, Office of the Under Secretary. Oppenheimer holds a bachelor’s degree in diplomacy and world affairs from Occidental College and a master’s degree in Latin American Studies from Georgetown University.
